  1. At 286 km:

    • You will encounter a route challenge.
    • Read the full statement here.
    • If the bridge is unsafe or you are advised not to cross, open the 'Ceres 500 Backup' route.
    • Be prepared for a longer journey. Carry extra supplies and plan resupply stops carefully.
  2. At 358 km:

    • You will face a river crossing.
    • Only cross if it is safe. Ensure you can cross without your bike or feet being swept away.
    • If crossing is unsafe, turn back and reassess your options. Do not underestimate the river crossing.

  • Carry extra supplies, including food, water, and emergency gear.
